Alright... I'm wondering if I should buy the HD collection... because I really want to play the SH games but only have an XBox 360. I know fog and voice acting are controversial and shoddy but are they bad enough that I shouldn't buy it at all? Are there more serious issues with the games other than voice acting and fog problems?
Well i haven’t played SH3 yet, but the water looks like shit in SH2 and there is audio lags occasionally and many small things have been either changed or removed.. I would wait till its a bit cheaper to buy..
Also, where i can see the early script of the Silent Hill Film (2006)? ...ive heard that there were pendulums, mannequins, a lot of female characters, etc? ... any way to see the complete script? thanks.
Hi. I remember seeing a photo of SH: R, where we can see the carusel, but it didnt have any horses, but human corpses instead. I cant seem to find that photo again, so, do yuo know where i can find it again? (sorry for my multiple questions). thanks.
Silent Hill 3 original voices added in 360 version of HD Collection by a fan.
Buddy of mine took the audio out of the PC version of Silent Hill 3 and placed them in his 360 version of the HD Collection. The audio works fine and is synced showing that despite initial reports the original voices could have in fact been added in the HD Collection if they wanted to. What technical problems they were talking about before I am unsure of. A gamer was able to do this with little to no effort. I don't think blaming Tomm Hulett is really all that fair. Konami threw THREE projects at him and told him they needed to be ready at the same time, and didnt expect at least one title to suffer? Konami could have easily staggered the titles and improved the quality of each game. But Konami are simply not that smart
I agree with everything you are saying. I blame Konami for the bulk of these issues…
Hi. Some time ago, you posted a video of Adelaide Clemens talking in front of a camera (i think theren was a blue background, not so sure), like saying a monologue. Where i can find that video again? i cant seem to find it. Where can i see it again, or how do i look for it? Thanks!
Adelaide is now requiring a password for that video…
Tom hullet IS the producer of the HD collection. He is to blame, at least partially for not overseeing this project correctly.
I know he is the producer… Thats what I was saying.. I also see why he should take much of the forefront because its a part of his responsibility as a producer.. We will see if anything is done or at least said…
Tomorrow for Fan Art Friday I will be posting primarily video reviews of Downpour and HD Collection from the community so here is your chance to express your feelings about the Month of Silent Hill!! Submit your video reviews!!
Konami doesn't seem to care because not enough has been done to make them care. We should start a petition or something that will reach them so they'll know how unhappy we are. We all deserve our money back. Look at Mass Effect 3 and what players achieved there.
I totally understand making a fuss but after the last petition I realized… We shouldnt even have to go there… We spent 100 dollars for two games and waited on delays… There should be no issues… So I do agree there that we should get money back atleast for HD Collection. I really do demand a patch though that fixes all glitches and texture issues and removal of fog…
“I think it’s true that the Japanese industry is struggling a bit. Maybe we reached the maximum that we could achieve, and we have to admit it. I think that those Japanese people who do not understand cultures overseas will not be able to create entertainment for the global market.”—Akira Yamaoka (Composer for SH1-Shattered Memories)
You’ve read our review. You’ve probably also read a lot of other reviews of Silent Hill Downpour. Maybe you’re still on the fence about whether or not you should pick up the latest game in the iconic series? After all, March has been jam packed full of some quality games and you might have heard a few bad things about Downpour.
Don’t let those things persuade you – there are an equal amount of great reasons to pick up Silent Hill Downpour. We can’t help but recommend it, but if you’re still on the fence, take a look at just some of the reasons you should be picking up and playing Silent Hill Downpour…right now.
Do you think if we tried hard enough, they'd pull a Heavy Rain and release a huge update for the voices in SH3? (Heavy Rain had a 1.5gb update that included new options for the PSMove controls.)
Oh im sure if there were enough voices, but honestly I dont mind the voices at all if you play the collection they are actually very good. That the least of problems wit that game though… Its the visuals and audio that need a patch… You can change the voices but you cant take out the fog in a SH game…
So, with all the issues with the HD collection and all that being brought publicly to light to those who have played through it, has there been any word about this from Konami? Has Tom released anything saying they're working on it, that they know, anything? I'd really like to know if they're going to be releasing any kind of fix to bring back fog, missing audio, etc. All the things they broke. Also, I'd like to know if any said patch is going to be released on the 360 and not just PS3. :/
I have not heard anything yet. Last I heard only patch released was for PS3 and it didnt even work.. I wish they would fix the fog, fucked up textures and audio though..
